Horizon Europe is the world’s largest research and innovation program, with a budget of C$140 billion (2021-2027). The program is structured in three pillars, and Canada has recently become an associated country for Pillar II: “Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness”. Canadian companies can now participate in or create international consortia to apply for project calls in Horizon Europe and receive grants directly from the European Commission. 
Join us for an exclusive meeting designed to introduce companies to Horizon Europe. This session will explore the vast opportunities for funding available to companies collaborating in research and innovation projects. Discover how your business can connect with local and global partners, access cutting-edge research, and leverage international networks to drive growth and impact. Whether you're new to Horizon Europe or seeking to deepen your engagement, this meeting will provide valuable insights and actionable information to get started.

The University of Toronto supports faculty and their industry partners to establish collaboration consortia across the Atlantic to apply for the upcoming competitions.

Horizon Europe strategic plan 2025-2027 identifies the key areas that will support during the coming years. The 2025 Work Programme listing the calls that will open next year, is expected to be published in the Spring. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore potential areas of alignment with your business interests through early drafts accessible through Science / Business.
